Went to the post office, tore through the wrapping, dropped the masonite on my big toe, gazed upon the greatness of this piece with absolute joy. Masonite painful...did not cry.

Rush of nostalgia kicked in...I am now 13 again, at the spinner rack of my local convenience store and see ASM 238. Flood of memories flashing in front of my eyes. I smell something, but it doesn't smell like burnt toast, so I'm still OK...medical attention not required.

Then, I do the manly thing and almost cry at the sheer beauty of the artwork. I said *almost* cry. It wouldn't be manly to cry.

Words cannot express my gratitude to the Romitas and Spencer Beck for making this happen.

I am one lucky (manly) guy :)

Look, I'll preface this by saying that I'm not a big Romita Sr fan, but man, that is drop-dead beautiful. I'm really struck by the beauty of inking. Spidey's figure is just beautifully, beautifully drawn. Large congratulations, and a Mazel Tov too! :c)
