I picked this up for a great price, and it's clear to see why. No Marvel characters in costume, not a major title, not much happening. But I love this page.

First of all, it's by Mark Bagley, and I've been a fan of his work for years. Though his style is definitely better suited for action scenes, he demonstrates here he can handle the quieter moments adeptly as well. Furthermore, this scene -- focusing The Daily Bugle's Ben Urich examining a missing colleague's work station -- features one of my favorite themes in comics: journalism. As a courts/crime reporter for a daily newspaper, I'm drawn to pages featuring journalism in some way.
