DescriptionI have been looking for a Captain America Cover for a while now. I loved this cover when I saw it the first time and always had it in the back of my mind. When I saw Steve McNiven at NYCC 2012 and saw he still had the cover I jumped on it as fast as I could. Most of the people I showed the cover to at the con were as surprised as I that Steve still had it in his possession. Needless to say I found my Captain America Cover!! Steve and his family were great to be around and I really love his work. I hope to get a few more covers in the coming years. Thank you Steve!! Some additional info about the issue...... "Brubaker and McNiven continue their heart-stopping run on Cap with a nightmarish trip down memory lane – and that’s bad news when your memory lane goes right through World War II"! Social/Sharing |

Thank for the kind words! I just love his work!! The retro feel is a significant reason why I went for it! I was also lucky enough to get a commission that Dexter Vines is doing some work on. Once I get both be pencil and inked versions back I will post it. I think you all will like it!

This is incredible! I love that classic bomber feel of it, and the inkwash is amazing. You told me you got a nice McNiven Cap cover, but I still wasn't prepared for how awesome it is! :) Congrats on this one buddy!

I saw this in Steve portfolio. I too was surprised it was still in there. If I had the funds, I would have picked it up. Fantastic addition to your stunning collection.

That my friend is an awesome Cap cover! Wow! It is reminiscent of the GA Schomburg Cap 32 cover.

This is a great cover. I loved McNiven's Cap and his run was far to short in spite of him wanting to stay on Cap. This has a real nostalgic feel to the WW2 era poster art and is real stunning. Steve also is a great inker over his own work. Bravo!

How have I not commented on this yet? I love McNiven's work - and this is my favorite from his run on the title. I'm sure it looks great on the wall!
