I first contacted George a few years ago about a commission, but talented artist that he is, he was always busy with other jobs. He promised to contact me when he had a break in his schedule, and this year was my lucky year. We discussed a few different characters, and both thought that the early version of Charlton's Captain Atom would be a great character to work with. George sent me a few different roughs, and I chose the one I liked best. He was going to print the title info on the board, and work the artwork around it.

I could not be happier with how this commission turned out. The piece is a wonderful combination of old school and George's style, with lush, lush ink work throughout.

Great pices...always think of Ditko when I see Captain Atom, but GF does it great justice.
