Description

Matt Mahurin is better known for his mainstream illustreations (like his covers for TIME) than he is for genre art. But early in his career (along with everyone from John Palencar to Gary Kelley to John Howe) he was doing art for Time-Life's Mysterious World series of books. We picked this pair of macabre paintings up at a Heritage auction some years back and have them hung in the spare bedroom we call the "Halloween Room" becauce of all the vintage masks and decorations we display there...

I think this is a first... Mahurin on CAF! It's about time. I've been a fan for decades.

WOW not many of these out there. Mahurin's 80's paintings were great and the ones for TLB were his best work IMO. NIce to see up here. Any more Treasures in the Vault??
