DescriptionI picked up this page for a great price on eBay from the inker, Tom Nguyen (his signature appears at the bottom of the page). It's from the 2005-2011 series, during the time of "Brightest Day," a followup to Blackest Night. The central panel features Green Lantern Sodam Yat (during his Ion phase), and I love the bottom panel with the incorporation of the various Lantern symbols.Doug Mahnke's edge and intensity makes for some fun super-hero comics storytelling, and the detail he and Nguyen pour into each panel conveys the devastating and critical nature of the events unfolding on the page. I'm quite pleased with this acquisition, especially given the reasonable price I paid and the chance to buy from one of the artists directly. It was great to interact with him (and he threw in a great bonus sketch to boot!). Social/Sharing |
