DescriptionNice example of Pratt's work. Heavily influenced by Caniff, this piece is from Hora Cera #9 page 11. Drawn around 1959. It was still about 8 years after this that Pratt created his most memorable character, Corto Maltese but in some of these earlier strips you see the beginnings of his work. The silhouettes and the girl are particularly nice in this piece.Social/Sharing |

I never realized what a close student of Caniff Pratt was. And so successful. That is charming.

A real nice and very characteristic Ernie Pike. Hugo Pratt is definitely up there with the best of them. Congratulations!
