DescriptionHere's my first convention sketch from Adam Hughes, way back at a Chicago Comic Con. I remember Adam sitting with a few of his Gaijin cohorts. I commissioned a sexy Judge Anderson and when I went back to check on the piece, Adam gave it to Karl Story to ink, and I was, like, "Whaaa? Who's this Karl Story guy? I like Adam's pencils and he better not ruin it!"Needless to say, Karl did an awesome job on it and I was amazed with his ability and tapering, which lead to some great influences on how I penciled and what I would look for in terms of inkers. If I recall correctly, when I picked it up from Adam, he said that was the first piece they collaborated on. Don't sue me if I'm wrong. All in all, I think it was $25 or $30 for the sketch and I think I threw $10 to Karl for the inks. Good times! Social/Sharing |

$40 dollars... Incredible. Cool story to accompany an equally cool piece of art.
