DescriptionSharing a few pieces by Quinton Hoover today, on what would have been his birthday. Gone all too soon. This piece would have been the result of over a decade-long commission process. Like many commissioner/artist relationships, we like to give the artist time to let inspiration strike them, so a decade before he posted this piece to his own Comicartfans gallery, I had asked Quinton if I could get an Art Nouveau inspired commission from him. He had done many pieces before in that style, and I was hoping to get something for my own collection. It was a long process, but he ended up doing a piece that combined the Nouveau aspect, and a theme that I hadn't even been collecting when I made that first request, devilgirls. He shared this image on his gallery, and then wanted to continue the piece to a full-fledged painting, but unfortunately he had health issues come up, and passed away in 2013.Rest in peace, Quinton.
