Description

I have had the idea for this commission from Dean Yeagle in my head for about 2.5 years now. Up until this year, I had not had the opportunity to see him in person. When he was announced for the Calgary Expo this year, I was overjoyed. Tried setting this up immediately and was lucky enough to have Dean willing to take it on. Unfortunately, Dean and his wife were in a car accident a couple of weeks before the show (thankfully, not seriously injured...mainly bumps and bruises, but Dean also had a small scratch that became infected) and were just not comfortable making the trip to Calgary yet. Before this, Dean had already finished the prelim, and I absolutely loved it. To my relief, he was still willing to do the finished commission from home. Super happy with how this piece turned out. Couldn't have hoped for any better....love the addition of Scoots holding her sword as that wasn't specifically mentioned in the request. Don't have it in hand yet, but couldn't wait to share. :)
