DescriptionThis is one of my favorite Wrightson images. If you are going to try to kill a vampire, you better come prepared. Large size painting,16.5x24in image area, that was published originally for the Horror and Fantasy Portfolio put out by Christopher Enterprises. It has also been published as a poster,print,A Look Back Art book, and the Studio Art book,trading card, and even as the cover for a Spanish Creepy Cover from the 70's. Definitely one of his signature pieces. I owe a dear friend of mine for allowing me to add this beauty to my collection! I also found out this was also used as a cover for the Mutants#1 comic back in 1980.Social/Sharing |

Love the story that this piece tells in that the baddie isn't overly vampiric--without context you have to read the details to understand what's happening. Saw this in person at San Diego and it was truly beautiful--congrats!

Such a treasure!! Every element is perfect and so is the composition. The hands and faces are priceless. Only Wrightson could have could have created such an image --- he was so good.
