Description

1999 recreation of 1962's GI Combat 96, one of if not the first comic book I ever owned. At first glance, it looks like Russ might've traced the original comic, but there are subtle differences. And the ink wash work is impeccable. Thanks to Wally Harrington for parting with this one.

Wow, what an unusual piece by Russ Heath. I have not seen this style before with the greytones. I am no longer surprised by his talents or his ability to put down work that almost looks impossible to execute by the human hand.
