DescriptionMarie Severin drew the Sandman art here, while the Ditko Spider-Man portion is mostly stat with some inking added... since my kids like to eat once in a a while I'll refrain from pursuing a Ditko Spider-Man cover and live with this still dynamite 1960s twice up cover!!Social/Sharing |

ASM 18 is my favourite Ditko cover . . . and this is the next best thing. Cool pick-up!

Awesome Rob...this is one of my fave ASM cover and wityh the underrated Marie's work..even better.

Wow< Kudos to Marie. This is sweet... and so is Marie. I spent an afternoon with her, Flo Steinberg (sp), Trina and Ramona and I especially enjoyed hanging with Marie. She was funny and so nice... and flirty.

This isn't just 'living with' something, this is an awesome piece of work! Marie really nailed Ditko's feel of the Sandman, and I'm a sucker for covers that are a montage of original art and paste ups. You've got a gem here, that I hope you've framed and hung in prominent place!

Jawdropping Marvel Tales cover by the great Marie Severin. What a treasure from the 1960s! Marie was one of the true stalwarts of the Marvel Bullpen! She doesn't get much attention, but she should. She worked on more titles and more characters than just about anybody. She kept her head down and did whatever work was needed, even when it was just drawing the Sandman figure on a page doiminated by stats of Spider-Man. Her work doesn't get much attention, but even on this page you can see that the lady was very, very talented. Great pick-up, congrats!
