Description

From Heritage. I just thought it was damn cool and more Toth then any cel I've ever seen. I was able to find a copy of Toth's layout for this cel on the internet, see extra image #2.). My best guess is maybe it was intended to be used in the opening intro in the first season where there were 3 quick shots of other Toth illos. (see extra image #1 for sample)

Batman and Robin Animation Production Cel and Key Master Painted Background (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1970s). From the long ears on Batman's cowl, and the art of Robin's face, this seems to be from the Alex Toth influenced Hanna-Barbera years. It's possible this was a promotional setup or created for a commercial product; however, either way, it is one Bat-tastic piece! Batman and Robin are hand-painted on on a single 12 field 3-peghole cel, on top of another layer featuring the black line art for the Steam Shovel, which is in turn on top of the hand-painted production background. A high-quality image with great color and lots of that "Biff! Bam! Pow!" you love! In Fine condition.
