Description

I loved Byrne's Alpha Flight as a kid. His UXM run had been over a couple of years and back issues were so expensive that I couldn't read the whole thing because there weren't reprints available yet. But I was on board with AF from issue #1. I'll always remember that last page with Mac's smoking body and that interminable 30 day wait before I finally had this issue in my hands - couldn't get home fast enough to read it. Very happy to own a cover from this run.

It's also an interesting composition as it seems to homage his X-Men 141 cover (Logan is in an almost identical outfit and stance).

Thanks for the bigger scan, that's a great, and absolutely classic Logan by Byrne! Those not totally visible but perfectly understandable names on the tombstones are a nice touch :)

When I was outbid on this, I breathed a sigh of relief because I thought I was overbidding. In hindsight, I wish I had won it!! Beatiful and vintage AF cover!! Congrats!

We all knew Wolverine had to have at least a walk-on part in AF, it's just his timing couldn't be worse, great cover, great callback, great everything, big congrats!!
