DescriptionOur friendly neighborhood postman recently delivered this painting by Hannes Bok. Used as the cover for Fantastic Universe, December 1956, on the published magazine the white box was filled with the titles and authors of various of the stories inside.Bok was an author in addition to an artist, and my friend Bob Garcia's Kickstarter campaign gathering three of Bok's fantasy novels in hardcover for the first time (two of which previously appeared in paperback as part of the Lin Carter edited Ballantine Adult Fantasy series and one of which originally appeared in the legendary fantasy pulp, Unknown) has only eight days left! My neighbourhood postman is never friendly enough to leave art like this.Your postman must like you more.

I forgot to say that its rather considerate of the Bok Beast to wear underwear. No shocking the casual reader in a time of comic and magazine censorship.
