Description

According to Heritage auction house: 'In the early 2000s, it looked like there was going to be a Conan animated story adapting Robert E. Howard's "Red Nails" story, and it would be aimed at adults. Mark Schultz' name was attached as a design artist. This seems to be one of those design pieces. Sadly, the feature film never made it through the development process. This piece was created in pure graphite on thin Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 9". Lightly toned and in Excellent condition.'

Certainly I can't find this in the Conan Wandering Star book that Schultz illustrated in 2002, nor the small sketchbook that accompanied that
