DescriptionWhat can I say about this piece that you can't glean just by gazing at it? It's classic Art Adams: a drop dead gorgeous out-of-this-world heroine, goofy gross monsters and a ton of wrist crippling cross hatching. I can't stop looking at it.I've always loved the concept of Jonni Future. A true sci-fi pulp heroine in the Barbarella mold. All her shorts in the Tom Strong's Terrific Tales books were a blast and showcased Art at his best; coming up with crazy monsters and throwing a beautiful woman into the fray. Each story was a creative clinic by Art. I still hope that he'll revisit the character for a new short story but I think the days of his lavish interior work are behind us. While I scratched Art off the bucket list with a commission a few years back I've been pining for either a published piece or cover quality commission. Anyone familiar with chasing Art's work knows both are becoming unobtanium in today's market. This piece is cover quality and then some so I jumped at the chance to bring her home. A massive thank you to mega collector Tony Marine for working with me on the piece, I couldn't be happier. Social/Sharing |

Was lucky enough to have seen this in person during one of Tony's visits. Congrats on a great pickup.

Cheers Eric! Having chatted with Tony just a little bit I can only imagine how incredible a visit that would be. Sorry to take this one off the board on your quest to 100 but I'm stoked to see your next acquisition!

Sweet! I wonder if they can ever measure line by line and see how many miles of ink strokes he put into this piece.
