Description

I am very happy with this page because, in addition to the inevitable sex scene, it concretely translates one of the main graphic innovations introduced in this story, the elevation of architectural structures and onomatopoeia to character, making them the real protagonists of the page.

Reuben Mikhail Flagg is a pop singer, as well as the protagonist of a famous television series in which he plays the role of ranger Mark Thrust. At some point in the story he is kicked off the show and replaced by a computer-generated image of him. Not only that: Flagg finds himself in spite of himself to really carry out the task of vigilante, enlisted in the Plexus Rangers of Chicago. And in the American metropolises of the future (2031 to be exact), devastated by the holocaust that took place in 1996, his is certainly not an easy job: drugs, violence and corruption are on the agenda. The cynical and listless Flagg, however, does his job in spite of everything. To help him, the talking cat Raul and the assistant robot Luther Ironheart.

Great Chaykin quality art with the great freedom to innovate and cross boundaries in the indie comics scene of the 80's. The duo tone work and the graphic design techniques used shows how much effort and thought was put into this page, story, and series.
