Description

In addition to seeking out recent X-Men panel pages from Josh Cassara, I had been circling one of his covers for about 18 months. This is not that cover. This is the cover that postponed that chase.

Celebrating the addition of Colossus & Laura Kinney, Wolverine, to X-Force, Cassara presents a modern rendition of the Fastball Special, a rare published opportunity too good to pass up.

A great view from behind home plate! Colossus' follow through creates ripples of energy as X-3 Wolverine has wild pitch written all over it.

Suh-weet Fastball Special! Just love Josh's work. Great poses on both, and those subtle greytones are subtly sublime. I actually commissioned Mark Brooks to do a X-23 X-Force Fastball Special, but was with Warpath and with the costumes from the series that started in 2008. Great piece here, Dan!
