I very much enjoyed Nic Klein's work on Thor but had not yet been able to pick up a piece.

I was very happy to acquire this piece of Nic's work which is an homage to X-men #28, which was originally done by Werner Roth. This is a variant cover to X-force #42. Close up of Nic's work in the expressions of the original X-men's faces really captures the intensity of Banshee's scream.

Credited as pencil and ink, it appears that Nic inked over his blue line, with ink wash and using some white for highlights. I don't think it is blue pencil, but I may be mistaken.

Fabulous cover! The pencils may only be loose outlines for proportions and spacing if they even exist. It is the inks and wash where Klein's artistry and finish come into play as that's is where the real drawing is done.

Agree Marcus. the tonal greys created by the wash and the inking is the jewel.

Always love seeing the OG X-Men, and this cover is just so dynamic. All out Banshee screamin' action, with the team not knowing what to do with themselves. Also got those trademark tones from Nic. Congrats!
