I've been a massive fan of David Hitchcock's Victorian / Steampunk illustrations forever, and I also really love his Sandman pieces. So naturally I asked him for Steampunk Sandman. And he came up with this absolute gem. 😁 Check out mechanical Matthew!! [David's absolutely amazing with complex constructs, be it in nature, architecture or mechanics.] 💙

The watercolors bring out all the textures in this! The clothes and age of the metal are great, but the best has to be the natural marbel look.
