"There's no calm before this Storm". A delightful homage to film noir novels.
Great to see the incomparable Alex Ross shake things up with his Marvel covers. Note the "4" earring Sue is wearing.

Alex Ross has been on my radar for years. I'm thrilled to finally be able to add him to the gallery of painted artwork.

Loved the pulpy noir feel of this cover, further accented by the typography like one of those classic mystery paperbacks (and the issue itself really leaned into that pulpy noir tone). This was one of the few Alex Ross covers that I've been tempted to pick up, so congrats on getting this (and removing tempation for me)!

I always enjoyed Film Noir movies so I can really appreciate the style and wit of this Fantastic Four cover. Alex Ross captured the look of those old 1940s movie posters here. You've got the damsel in distress, the silhouetted gun held by the mysterious would-be killer. And it's fun to see Sue Storm portrayed as a Femme Fetale, or should I say as a Fatal Femme? Fantastic pick-up, congrats!
