DescriptionIt's no secret that I absolutely adore the MJ & Gwen painting that Jefter Leite did for me. A couple of years ago, I discovered his work on Instagram and ordered a commission. Considering his very reasonable rates, I got a few more things.This is the final of two commissions, set up in December 2021, which has arrived this month. The process was frustrating and lacked communication at certain points. Dates kept getting pushed back, et cetera et cetera. In the end, though, I do like the two paintings, as Jefter is clearly very talented in his Coipel-inspired style. Out of his prelims, this was my favorite. The idea, that moment of Black Cat getting caught while stealing some priceless artifact, was a great concept by Jefter. Guiding whoever looks at this from left to right, we follow the security guard and his flashlight towards a stunned Black Cat and then those extremely lifelike Egyptian pieces. That sarcophagus is insane. Jefter executed the concept beautifully. Both paintings were done on 11x17 board with pencils and watercolor paint. Social/Sharing |
