Original line art for the cover of Spectacular Spider-Man #1 magazine (Marvel, July 1968) by John Romita from which the final published cover by Harry Rosenbaum was painted. Displayed at the "No Joke: The Spirit of American Comic Books" exhibit at the Mizel Gallery, Denver, Colorado, January 15-March 30, 2004.

Amazing, breath-taking artwork! I wonder whose idea it was to dispense with Romita's outstanding vertigo inducing perspective for the painted version? Jazzy Johnny could really place you many stories up in the skyscrapers with Spider-man!
