Description

Mike Wieringo is my favorite comics artist. His "Flash" issues are among my favorite of all time and his work on "Fantastic Four", "Robin", "Adventures of Superman" and "Tellos" are all equally as amazing.

I met Mike for the first time at Heroescon 1996 and he did an incredible Batman sketch for me. Sadly it was stolen along with a few other pieces around ten years ago.

I spoke with Mike every chance I got at Heroescon and at local shops (he was from North Carolina, too) and he was always a pleasure to talk to.

I approached Mike about possibly recreating the Batman sketch he had done for me years earlier, but before he could respond he was taken away from us.

The thought of never again seeing his smiling face at Heroescon is almost as unbearable as the realization that we won't have any new 'Ringo art anymore.

My good friend, David, upon hearing about the theft of the other piece and knowing my love for Mike's work, wasted no time taking a razor blade to his sketchbook to give me this unbelievable Brainiac for my collection.
