DescriptionThe 1st 'Avengers Assemble' cover! The roster is re-shuffled + Captain America becomes team leader w/first appearance of Hawkeye, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch as new members. Inks by Sol Brodsky.As far as I know, this is the earliest known Avengers cvr. in existence. I feel especially fortunate as this one was always a favorite of mine. Social/Sharing |

A great image of Captain America by Kirby yelling the classic words of "Avengers Assemble" .... yeah, I would call this a grail. Congratulations on a great acquisition. Cheers! N.

Not only is it everything that eveyone says -- really, even if every Marvel cover does survive, and in your heart of hearts, you know they do, Hans (hah!) -- it's a Grail and a perfect cover. And look how Rick Jones is checking Caps' ass out!

Might win award of greatest cover on CAF. This is one of the most iconic and joy inducing covers of any kids imagination. How on earth did you score this? Just outstanding. If your collection only consisted of this cover you'd have a top 5 collection anywhere. Tearfully jealous.

Hans, a stellar Jack Kirby masterpiece! One of the greatest covers on CAF, by far! Captain America took over as the leader of the mighty Avengers in this issue and proved to be the most worthy leader of all that came before him and after him!; Cap, with his inner strength, perseverance, and endless determination trumped brute force any day of the week!
