DescriptionThis is the completed commission. Once again, Enric has absolutely knocked it out of the park, Absolutely love how this piece turned out. I posted a bit of info on Lea in the commission gallery, but for those that skip to the piece directly, here is some info on Lea:The Leanansidhe (pronounced "lay-AH-nahn-shee" and commonly referred to simply as Lea in the books) is a character from one of my favourite series of Novels (which are being turned into comics, as well) - The Dresden Files. She is based on the Celtic myth of the leanan sidhe. The leanan sidhe is generally depicted as a beautiful muse, who offers inspiration to an artist in exchange for their love and devotion; however, this frequently results in madness for the artist, as well as premature death. In the novels, she is the main character, Harry Dresden's Faerie Godmother (a rather twisted one at that). She spends the better part of her first appearances trying to turn Harry into one of her hounds...for his own safety, of course. Social/Sharing |

Oh my. Your commission idea was dead on perfect for Enric's skills. Such startling beauty in one masterpiece should come with a warning!! Congratulations Erik. :)

I never watched the series but recently was handed the first volume of 3 books and really enjoyed them enough to have moved into the second volume of books. Butcher depicted Harry's Godmother as an extremely Beautiful woman and it appears that Enric has created another stunning work of art. A Huge congrats on everything about this painting.

As for the novel series...the first 3 books were pretty good, but Butcher was still learning his craft when he wrote those, I think. Starting with Summer Knight the series starts to get really good, and is my absolute favourite novel series now.

That wavy red hair just blows me away! And the wolves' eyes are hauntingly scary yet beautiful. This commission is amazing Erik! Major congrats.

Fantastic! I'm also a huge fan of the Dresden Files (I love Marsters' audiobook performances!) but never thought to get art based on the series! That's gonna change now! Beautiful piece with an almost Frazetta quality.
