Description

RIP KIRBY 5-15-1950. Pencils and inks by the great Alex Raymond.
The first panel is a wonderful close of Rip and Honey. The next two panels seem to pale in comparison, but if you look closely at his inking - how he uses different weighted lines to illustrate how the clothes hang, to create the patterns in the tie and lamp base and even Desmond's hair, they are much more appealing. This is definitely an example that illustrates the range of Raymond's skills.
