Description

Since everyone is showing off with recent Pearson commissions, I thought I would open my Pearson vault to show that Jason was already kicking ass on commissions years before (though I did not commission this one) ,p

His style is more "animated" here and not cross-hatching (that came later). But you can already count on the sexyness and the storytelling elements Jason infuses in his commissions.

So much is happening here in the backgrounds. I personnally love the sharks which also add to the overal composition.

Lara's playfull and confident expression is spot on. The inks are as always razor sharp. You can't see a drop on the page. Inks as in no markers here :)

And yes I'm aware that this is my second Lara Croft piece by Jason. Not specially a fan of the character but this is Jason gold.

Happy belated birthday, Fred!! It's really weird, but this period of Jason's is my least favorite. I do love, love, love the backgrounds he incorporates into these though!! They tell an entire story for the character and without the background the art would suffer as a result; just wouldn't be the same. Very fun piece, Fred!! Happy Birthday once again!!!!
