I am obviously way overdue seeing the amazing series Twin Peaks but at the time it was airing I was way to young to watch it. I first came upon Twin Peaks on the Chiller channel but I had missed some of the first episodes so I decided to get the Gold box DVD set. After watching the series and absolutely loving it I knew that I had to commission Josh to do a Twin peaks piece.

I sent Josh an email asking about getting the piece done and he was thrilled to have the opportunity since he had been wanting to do a Twin Peaks piece for a very long time. I gave him the basic idea of having Agent Dale Cooper, Audrey, Donna and Laura in the piece. When he was getting ready to do the commission he sent 2 layouts and I chose one but decided to make a few changes. The hardest part was trying to figure the best way to incorporate Laura into the piece. When I first envisioned the piece I thought of having Laura's body lying across the bottom but Josh and I decided that wouldn't work for the composition. He worked up 3 more layouts and this one immediately spoke to me. With this layout there is so much potential to make additional pieces to connect to this one. There are just so many great characters in the series that I had to go with this layout because of its potential for the additional pieces.

Josh then began working on getting the finished layout penciled. After he was finished with the pencils he emailed them to me to get my approval. They were fantastic and even better then I had imagined. I gave him the go ahead and couldn't wait to see the inks. When he sent the inked picture he said that he had put more time in this commission then he ever had done and that he was wanting to deliver a piece worthy of the show.

I requested that he didn't send he finished colors because I wanted to be surprised when the piece arrived. I am absolutely thrilled with the finished piece. Josh always goes above and beyond when he does commissions but I honestly think this one takes the pie. It is a Damn fine piece and has to be one of the best pieces Josh has ever done. You can tell that Josh was really enjoying doing this piece and that it was a labor of love for the show that he loves so much. I am so glad that I commissioned Josh to do this fabulous Twin Peaks piece and I can't wait to commission the other pieces in the set.

Everything about the piece is perfect. You have Agent Dale Cooper with his trusty tape recorder talking to Diane. Audrey is there as beautiful as ever smoking and you have Donna with the broken Best Friends necklace. The owls are not what they seem with the Black Lodge curtains and floor as well as the owl cave ring. And who can forget Laura wrapped in plastic. A fantastic piece to represent such a phenomenal show.

Published in Josh's sketchbook "2013 Comic Con sketchbook" on page 26. Josh also sold Prints of the piece at SDCC 2014.

Fantastic piece. The composition and colors are just great (especially Audrey's skirt). This would make some cover if a Twin Peaks comic was ever published!
