Description

Although Watchmen and Dark Knight Returns are considered as one of the pinnacles in comic book storytelling and among my top 3 (just like everyone else?), when I was a young kid, I can't remember enjoying reading any comic book as much as Secret Wars. To have all the big Marvel heroes and villains in one comic book was just pure fun. Seeing this piece makes me feel like a 12-year old every time. 11x17"

I feel the same. I couldn't wait for the next issue of Secret Wars to arrive at the comic shop when I was a kid. Great pickup!

Mike Zeck's covers are in my opinion some of the most iconic and representative of 1980's Marvel comics. Secret Wars was so big it had a toy line!

Historical cover! Not many artists could pull a cover where the main character is showing his back to the buying audience but Zeck surely pulls it off :)

I don't know how I never commented on this cover before, but let me make up for that by saying this is one of the coolest covers on all of CAF! I mean, it's Mike Zeck drawing Secret Wars! And it's got Doctor Doom taking off his mask for all the heroes in the series! It's got Captain America, Mr. Fantastic, the Hulk, Black Suit Spidey and a whole bunch of other A list characters! What more could anyone ask for? This is a bona fide treasure! Zeck did a lot of interesting work in his career, but Secret Wars was a whole 'nother level. I love, love, love it.
