This sketchbook was started without a theme.I just really wanted to have 3 books at C2E2 and it is a good thing that I did due to the sheer amount of amazing artists there.This one differs from the rest of the books because it is meant for watercolors and has a panoramic orientation so it can make it difficult to draw at a convention.I couldn't arrive at a theme.After the first sketch was already in the book,I still couldn't come up with a theme.I counted the number of available pages and came up with 28.There was a combined 28 issues of The Marvel Universe Handbook back in the day.That comic featured pin-ups of each major character in the Marvel Universe and was how I learned about the majority of the characters.I loved that series and decided to pay tribute with this book.I decided to take 1 character from each issue and try to get full figure color sketches preferably in watercolors.There have been some revisions to those guidelines but that is part of the fun.
