H.T. (Harold Tucker) Webster (1885-1953) was a brilliant cartoonist who gave us the character Casper Milquetoast, who starred in his own feature, The Timid Soul. Just as his name suggests, Mr. Milquetoast was not a man of action, but was the character afraid of his own shadow, brow-beaten by life. Besides The Timid Soul, Webster drew a series of various panel cartoons, all of which appeared on a set daily schedule:
