Outsider Cartoonists Columba Krebs etc
These are some obscure and incredly quirky cartoonists . Columba Krebs (who may or may not have been Annibel Culverhill- I have heeard two versions one that she was Annibel and the other that Annibel was a clsoe friend) was an artist illustrator who work in everything from paintigns to fiber art from the 1920's throug hthe 1960's . She did a stint as a Chrsitian Socialist, was invovled with the ashcan school movement with John Sloan etc. and eneded up interested i nthe occult and invovled with a UFO cult in I think Missouri. Some of her comcis work was editorial cartoons, she also did a socialsit science fiction book for kids called Skuddabud and I have other odd work (calendars probable unpublished comic book pages etc) that I will post as time allows.
