Alberto Breccia (April 15, 1919 - November 10, 1993) was an Uruguay-born Argentine comics artist and writer. He may be relatively unknown outside hios home country, but in our humble opinion he deserves to be mention side by side with artists such as Milton Caniff and Hugo Pratt. Breccia is definately one of the ten most important artists that has ever graced the comic media with his talent. Alberto Breccia died in Buenos Aires in 1993. His original artwork is rarely offered for sale and highly sought after by true connaisseurs. All pages in this gallery room are from one of the earliest stories Breccia ever did. La Llama Roja was published by Editorial Lainez in Buenos Aires in Anuario del Gorrión. Year is not known to me, probably early 1940's. The pages measures each 38.5 x 28 cm.
