Hands down, the nicest and most charming guy in the biz has to be BUDD ROOT. I met Budd at a Greensboro toy show back in '95 just before his Caliber series hit the shelves. Budd did plenty of weekend funny book shows with us and was always a pleasure to be around. He's the Willy Wonka/Gene Wilder of the comic world, the guy would give you the shirt off his back and then some. Back in the late nineties, I remember my reaction when I discovered the winner of one of eBay auctions ( a couple of Art Adams Vampi issues) was non other than ol' Budd. I told him his money was no good and he would be receiving his order in a couple of days. Budd has been a great friend over the years and one of best!
