This is my first sketchbook I ever started, back in 1986, when there was a Los Angeles Schwartz con at the Ambassador Hotel. In attendance was Howard Chaykin, John Romita Jr. and Joe Shuster, who, if I remember correctly, was only charging $10-$15 for a classic Superman side torso drawing. Like a dumbass I didn't get one cause I thought he was too old school.
Prior to starting this sketchbook, I had some loose drawings I bought at various in-store signings or local cons. Before the Itoyas were around I had a friend of mine paste in these loose sketches into blank pages of my first sketchbook. Oh well, live and learn.
