This 12 page classic first appeared as the lead story in "The Pogo Sunday Parade" which was published in 1954. It was a favorite of Walt Kelly's and he included the entire story in the Pogo compilation "Ten Ever Lovin' Blue-Eyed Years with Pogo" which reprinted some of Walt's favorite moments from the first 10 years of the Pogo newspaper strip and paperbacks.
