This is my third sketchbook and it's one I've had bouncing around in my head for a year or two. The Hulk is my favorite fictional character ever, and I wanted a Hulk-themed book, but I wanted to do something different with it. So, rather than having only sketches of the Hulk, himself, I put together a list of different versions of the Hulk as well as his villains and supporting cast. In general, this will be an Artist's Choice book, where I give them the list and ask them to choose a character that hasn't been done. On occasion, I will ask for a specific character, depending on the artist. That was the case when I got the rare opportunity to get a sketch from Sal Buscema. I only wanted to start the book off with either Sal or Gary Frank and I wasn't going to start the book if I couldn't get one of them. But Sal is my favorite Hulk artist ever, so I kicked it off as big and as wonderfully as possible. I can't wait to see who others artists choose!
