My Art Collection - Arm Wrestling with Heroes

I'm not a big fan of single figure commissions. I like them to have at least a little story to tell. For that reason, I sometimes need a base idea upon which the artist can build. J. Scott Campbell came to do a signing in Houston and was willing to do commissions that he would deliver at the show. I was sorely tempted, but I couldn't think of what to get. Long after the show, I thought that Supergirl vs. Caitlin Fairchild arm wrestling would have worked. I kept the idea in the back of my mind. Aaron Lopresti posted on Facebook that he was looking for the BWS Conan portfolio from the 70s. I had it and hadn't looked at it in years so we worked a deal. The GA Wonder Woman in her original skirt versus the Silver Age Supergirl. It's a knockout. Since then I've used the theme with other artists and my Secret Santa and my wife have used it with me vs. a superhero.
