The Saint - TV Tornado (1967-68) - SOLD

The UK comic TV Tornado ran a 'The Saint' strip for quite a few issues to tie in with the popularity of the TV show (with Roger Moore). I had previously thought that different artists had worked on these at different times due to the variation in style between earlier and later issues. However the consensus of opinion seems to be that the majority of the pages are by Harry Bishop. (Thanks to Steven Taylor for providing this information). Each issue had a complete self contained two page story. In some stories (see e.g. issue 72 'The Sea Fort') attempts were made to make the comic strip protagonist look like Roger Moore whilst in others this does not seem to have been a priority. I have the artwork for several of these and will slowly be uploading them here. They are a little difficult to scan as they are larger than my A3 scanner so need to be scanned in two parts and then digitally knitted together.
