Esteban Maroto

Esteban Maroto garnered attention from the North American public with his work for Warren magazines Eerie, Creepy and Vampirella in the 70's. He did the interior illustrations for the Ace Books Illustrated Series of Science Fiction books which included: Conan the Sorcerer (1978), The Magic Goes Away (1978), The Changeling((1980), Conan the Mercenary (1980). He also produced various work for DC comics including the Atlantis Chronicles(1990). Per wikipedia, he is credited with the design of Red Sonja's metal bikini which has become her trademarked look.
