REDONDO... Nestor Redondo

In the 1970's thanks to Tony DeZuniga's influence at DC, they enlisted many Filipino artists to produce a lot of art for various DC genres. Besides Tony, other artists (soon to be famous in the States) were Ernie Chua/Chan, Alex Nino, Rudy Nebres, Alfredo Alcala. And there were even more artists. Among them, Rico Rival, Vic Catan, Gerry Taloac, Ruben Yandoc and ER Cruz. All great artists in their own right. Together, they handled the majority of the art across DC's horror/mystery, war, western and romance titles.

But the greatest of them all was Nestor Redondo. Besides his various horror/mystery stories he's mostly known for drawing Rima the Jungle Girl, Black Orchid, Swamp Thing, DC's "The Bible" treasury and DC's aborted King Arthur title.

Inspired by what Steve Morger calls his "sampling" of Nestor Redondo's art, here is my "smattering" of Redondo art.
