I've been a fan of Tim's work since I first saw Grimjack and have been a Deadhead even longer, so the fact that Tim has been drawing images illustrating Grateful Dead songs for the Grateful Dead Almanac for many years made this piece a perfect combination for me. I have two of these Almanac pieces in my collection already for things I saw published and decided to try and buy, but this year I reached out to Tim and said "hey, you are going to do some new pieces for the almanac this year, can I pick a favorite song and agree in advance to buy the piece?" He said sure, and I got one of my favorite tunes illustrated by one of my favorite comic artists. This piece was in the latest on line issue of the Grateful Dead Almanac.
