Congrats!  It's a great page. I bought it from Matt at a convention about 15 years ago and had it framed on my wall for a while!  I remember going through Matt's portfolio, which had a lot of pages from Behold the Devil at that time, and picking out this one. Until I saw it again this year, I had forgotten that he wrote my name on it.  Fortunately, I have been fortunate enough to pick up some other pages from Grendel after I let this one go.

Congrats!  This is a great page.  I still hope to one day pick up an original page from The Hero Discovered or Batman/Grendel, but they seldom come up for sale (probably because the owners have a personal attachment to them).

This is the original color artwork for Chapter 1 of the Mage graphic novel published by Donning (see where it says "Donning").  Matt Wagner recolored issue #1 of Mage for the Donning/Starblaze edition. The Mage #1 comic book has different (more muted) colors.  I think this is the better version, as it has the distinctive airbrush look that the series became known for.

Congrats!  The Tommy Nuncio story was an effective exercise in paranoia.  I love the scene where Tommy finds Grendel on the fire escape.

This reminds me a little of the page in which Grendel meets Jocasta, which I think might have been intentional.  Very nice!

The background in the first panel is great!  It looks like Matt used an airbrush.

This is a fantastic page, and the fact that the page includes the lettering (as opposed to the lettering being added later) makes it even better.  "Somewhere in hell... the soul of Hunter Rose begins to laugh" really puts it over the top.

This is a great cel of Noriko from a very memorable scene in episode 6.  Congrats!

I was just looking through my copy of "Girls & Goddesses" and wondering if someone owned this..  It's definitely an amazing Dawn piece and I'm not surprised it was used for the back cover.  Congrats!
