Nice Planet of the Apes and Planet of the Apes-inspired Kamandi cross-over.

Jay Ward Flower Power.  This is really cool, even if it does not contain moose or squirrel.

This is really cool, especially seeing the contrast between the original and the published versions.  You really get a sense of how the visual effects enhance the published art with the lighting and coloration.

I think the first major disappointment I had as a comic reader was the implosion of the original JLA-Avengers meeting,  Thanks for nothing, Jim Shooter...

I'm so glad that George Perez got to realize his and our dream of this project happening, and that it turned out as awesomely as one would hope, as this page shows.

Fred Hembeck could have been an interestng Silver Age artist.  I'm not sure that he could have made it as a superhero artist, but he could have done imaginative things with funny animals and more fantastical features.

This is peak Carl Barks, showing everything that is loved about his work - the action, slightly goofy but genuinely menacing and thrilling.  Imagineering should build a Donald Duck ride from the visual inspiration of this painting.

This is a clever and fun trip back to Earth C (or C-)?  I espcially like Fire Ant.

There are several issues of Kamandi with talking tigers, and Mr. Tawny here, and Hobbes.  Beyond that I can't think of more.

I really enjoyed your story of how you got this art.  I never got a chance tomeet Mr. Perez, but by all accounts he was a wonderful person, in addition to being an all-time great comic artist.  

Val Semeiks is a masterfully versaitle artist.  He is a great action artist, and has a great sense of visual humor.  He is also really good at surreal and absurd concepts.

This is a really fun piece that apparenty antipcates the later populariy of the Batman '66 comics.  

Did you have a chance to meet Adam West and Bruce Ward at this con?

As I write this it is hard to imagine that George Perez has been gone for a year now.  He is greatly missed.

Losing George Perez was one of the worst things about 2022.  He realy does live on in his work.  His smiling face here captures his wonderful spirit.  

This is an ineresting collection of characters.  What inspired this piece? Did you just want to see what would happen if Cerebus and Daredevil hung out in Adventureland?

I have recieved a lot of rejection letters.  This one at least has some humor and some encouragement, and an editor replying with a personal note is usually a good sign that they saw enough promise in your work to want to see more of it.

This cover is cool, but it does beg the question of how did Lassie get 100 feet up into the rain forest canopy?

This is cool.  I read Darwyn Cooke's Batman-Spirit teamup comic recently, and it is fun to see that Will Eisner actually did one too.  I remember that Eisner did a similar drawing with Superman and The Spirit the previous year to celebrate Superman's 50th anniversary.

This is a clever idea for a team-up.

This is very cool.  How did you meet Bob Kurtz?

For 1970s kids Superfriends were one of the gateways to superheroes. Marvin, Wendy, and Wonder Dog were maybe not the most dynamic superhero sidekicks, but they were fun, and seeing Wonder Dog in action brings back fond memories.

It looks like Superman is fighting an early version of Devil Dinosaur.  This is cool.  Thanks for sharing it.

When you call the phone number on Ace's collar you get a recording:

"Hello, you've reached the Bat-phone.  Robin and I are out fighting evil, so we cannot take your call right now.  If you have found Ace, our Bat-Hound wandering about then please take him to the local police station and Commisoner Gordon will make sure that he gets home.  Thank you, citizen!"

This is a fun piece.  It would be fun to return to the world of Captain Carrot, the Zoo Crew, and Just'a Lotta Animals.  DC never really gave them their due.

This is a nice way to remember Neal Adams.  He and Denny O'Neil gave us the Batman we know and love today and helped invent comics as literature in the process.

The Zoo Crew has never looked better than this, and it brings back good memories of a fun series.

These were fun crossovers.  I am enjoying your cover project tribute to them.

In retrospect this was likely one of the last times that George Perez drew Wonder Woman.  His take on the character is definitive, and his work will keep him with us long into the future.

Star Trek meets THEM!, and Leonard Nimoy connects both.

Maguire really captured the essence of the character as he appears in the Hawkeye series, years before the series was even conceived.  That's talent!

This cover is freaking beautiful.  George Perez's recent news about his cancer is crushing.  He leaves us with so much beauty.
