You were right. The illustration depicts Inger Stevens in Sweden - a 1965 documentary.
I see the resemblance to June Lockhart. She seems to be in England and is holding a magic wand. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable on 1960s TV but this one really has me baffled.
Thanks for the info. It was drawn for Baily Publications way back in 1946. It only took 12 years for it to see print. Is the Sugar and Spice story also in Full of Fun #8?

I think this story was originally intended for The Silver Scream ( a fourth Harvey horror title that was never published). When The Silver Scream was abondoned the stories found their way into the other titles. I have a couple of these stories where the Silver Scream intro at the top of the first page is pasted over. "The Three Musketeers" and "Mutiny on the Boundary".
Kevin,
A bunch of Cartoons original art randomly popped up on Hake's auction site a while back. I grabbed what I considered to be the best of the bunch at what I think were bargain prices. You're right - it doesn't turn up often.

Thanks Mitch. I was hoping that someone might know.
Bob Lubbers was simultaneously ghosting the Lil Abner comic strip for Al Capp so the resemblance in no coincidence.
Larry,
This one is a bit unusual since it is a redo of another Mark Miller piece I posted earlier. Either the editor wanted a slighly different image of the artist himself was dissatisfied. Not sure which version was printed. I'm expecting to get a tear sheet from the magazine which will solve the mystery.

Austrailian. Larry Kent was a long-running series of crime novelettes that ran from the early 1950s well into the 1970s.
Thanks. I have another illustration by Schroeder which is signed but I wasn't sure about this one.
Some I've had for many years and others are newly acquired. I was able to get this one directly from Mr. Pollen along with about five others just in the last month.
Thanks to Jose Antonio for providing the correct artist identification on this illustration.
Thanks for the information on this painting! - Art credits have been updated.
I'm a huge fan of Steve Mannion's art and I especially love this piece.
Thanks for the additional info. Looking at the other pages in the story I still think Baker was involved although I agree it doesn't show up much in this splash.
If anyone knows where this one was published I would appreciate the information.
Really nice. I have a couple of Gallur pieces in my gallery and would love to add more.
Rob, This story is a really nice addition to your gallery. Panel 5 is a swipe from the cover of Frontline Combat #7. DaveO'
If you look closely at the top right panel you can see that the art has been modified. Apparently the king was originally holding something in his right hand. The comics code must have objected since the offending object has been removed. I'm guessing the edit was made by someone other than Ditko judging by the sloppiness of the correction.
