Machlan seems to have produced this piece as an homage to the splash page of "Tales of Suspense" #60 by Jack Kirby & Chic Stone.

What a great piece! The posing is classic Marvel. The Shapes and shading is exceptional. The girl (Lady Dorma, I presume) is pretty. Really something!

Very nice. Usually, it seems to me, Davis tends to render Thor on the slender side. Not so in this piece. Love the classic/iconic Thor look.

I really like the choice of theme for this piece. The Thing and Torgo as gladiator/slaves of the skrulls is one of the coolest story arcs ever. This piece has nice color and really takes me back to the original story. I've enjoyed this work very much.

Great piece by one of the most underrated and sometimes forgotten artists ever. Few can really bring out the fullness of a subjects musculature, most artists leave the characgter looking flat compared to Chan.

Very tight classic style. Ideal proportion. Very nice. It's my opinion that Mary's face resembles the famed actress Meryl Streep. MERYL MARVEL?

Absolutely great rendition of Hercules. This should become one of the iconic reference examples of the Marvel Hercules, who is a perfect subject for Ed McGuinness's style of and talent for depicting huge, powerfully muscled characters. My favorite character depicted by one of my favorite artists in a great pose showing his awesome strength! Love this piece!

Great body contour. Beautiful face; esp. lips & eyes. Good overall detail. Barda looks strong yet still feminine. This is a really nice piece of comic art. Also, she looks very attractive without being over-the-top sexed-up like a lot of artists either choose to do females ( I like those types as well). I understand the temptation to maybe over accentuate the sexy body parts of a womans body and for some it's the only way they can make a woman look feminine and/or attractive. This artist DOES NOT have that problem. In this rendering of Barda she is quite pretty and sexy. The artist has done this despite rendering her in and understated pose and without hinting at or using exposed flesh to get the viewer attention. I like this piece.
