COMICS HISTORY. A major part of my youth, just stunning.
These are amazing! Love classic Morisi Thunderbolt, was glad when they reprinted that "lost" story recently.
One of Tommy Monaghan's great moments of self-awareness, and eerie given the end of the series. In real life, no one who ever read HITMAN will forget it.
Loved this story -- later found out it was a hommage to a 2000 AD story called "Flesh." Loved the dinosaur narration!
Great pulpy 1960s British SF. Loved the Dalek strips, would love to own an original!
Highlight of the Who comics, and a dead-on Davidson. Excellent find!
The fall of Rick Flagg, as the series proves even its ostensible "hero" can't run from his demons forever. Classic.
Amanda Waller: Stone-cold bitch-ass-bitch, knows it and don't care. And it's her with Deadshot, in the storyline that saw him take up a hit on her, her staring him down, and him agreeing to take out the men who'd targeted her for what they paid him...plus a dollar. Classic storyline from a classic book.
There is no one I resent more than someone who gets a great artist to render one of their most memorable characters. Bastard! (>:
Jeebus, I cannot believe you have this! One of the best pages from one of the best comics! INCREDIBLE!
Crazy Kirby designs to the max! Love all these Kamandi spreads on Comic Art Fans.
I loved this issue with Ray manning the night shift. One of my favorite comics.
What Matt said -- great program pieces like this are often lost, and it's so cool to see it preserved! HISTORY!
Ahhh, Dr. Warrant -- the "Bad Guy" whose "evil plans" consisted of watching FLASHDANCE on the moon. Loved this damn book!
There was a certain Sid and Nancy quality to Tommy and Tiegel -- so much passion, but they burned so brightly. Of course they share a big moment in the middle of such chaos. Great page!
Woody My Noogie! One of the greatest books of the 1990s, and the boys at their best right there.
A very typical Tommy scene -- trouble from all sides, but he manages to find a silver lining in a quiet moment. I love the smirk in the third panel, that's the character for me, right there.
I'm just damn glad to see an "I AM BAYTOR" page on here! I loved "Ace of Killers," one of the book's top storylines.
Natt and Tommy, Brothers in Arms. The Butch and Sundance of comics, very iconic shot.
Tommy's reminded of his inevitable fate, in one of the coldest moments of the book. That last panel has haunted me for years.
This is pretty much the single best Etrigan image outside of Jack Kirby.
Love this book! And it's great you got a lettered page, the narration is a great piss-take on Lobo and it has one of my all-time favorite comic book narration footnotes.
This is the kind of wonderful, unexpected treasure I love to find on Comic Art Fans -- love Rankin-Bass so much! Wonderful piece!
I like how Cardy captures the feel of a Leone Western and also the more absurd qualities of Sergio Aragones' style into his own art with this.
I love the way the stories would incorporate the name/logo into the action. Masterpieces of comics storytelling, I'm glad they're reprinted! Great piece by Cardy, a stunner.
Great page. It captures the magic of the city that is at the heart of the tale. Classic Sandman, and classic Russell.
A key page! It sets up a good bit of the subtle twist of the story with Shakespeare's son, and also Puck's role in "The Kindly Ones." And a beautiful shot of Morpheus and an equally-lovely shot of Puck at the end -- along with the series' themes of the old stories adapting to the changing times. Magnificent!
Did NOT know this existed! Very crazy but appropriate for that series!
Damn, I love Prez (did a piece on him for Newsarama on Election Day). The Holy Grail of Prez pieces! Congratulations!
How the Old Dog would want to be remembered -- behind his bar, holding court for killers. Brilliant piece.
Ah, Tommy and Sean. They loved each other. And Tommy's rejection by Wendy was just painful -- justifiable, but painful.
One of my favorite pages. I loved anything with Sixpack and Section 8. I am still trying to find the "Zombie Night" splash page with the zombie animals staring at the guys!
Loved this series and this was the best moment. Excellent!
Man, this was the first Vertigo book I ever read! Excellent get!
One of the greatest superhero stories ever -- a good friend of mine met a lifelong friend because they were both in tears after reading the end of this back in 1980. A real piece of history.
